2025 Nonprofit Race Participants
In addition to the Ducky Derby and Street Fair, a Virtual Ducky Race featuring Duckies swimming for local non-profits will be held in the weeks leading up to Ducky Derby Day. Every on-line Ducky Derby ticket purchased between now and the close of online sales earns the opportunity to "Cheer" for a non-profit Ducky.
The top 3 non-profit Duckies with the most cheers by close of online sales will receive an additional amount for their nonprofit. The Ducky Leaderboard will be updated regularly on the Rotary Club of Castle Rock’s Facebook Page.
Wellspring Wally is racing for Wellspring Community, empowering lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)!
Wally likes to train by joining Wellspring participants in a variety of program offerings—from ASL to Yoga, the world is his oyster! When he isn’t training, he treats himself to a hand-crafted drink and baked good at the Castle Rock Collective and peruses the unique artisan market. Wellspring Wally is not only a champion in the creek but a champion of creating accessible and inclusive opportunities for people with I/DD.
Meet Douglas Land Conservancy’s Doug Landry! He’s a handsome waterfowl who enjoys the great outdoors. Doug heads outside often to hike our local open spaces and enjoy all the benefits that these DLC protected lands offer: fresh air, beautiful views, and of course, clean water.
Meet Seniorita, the “Lucky Duck” racing for the Castle Rock Senior Activity Center (CRSAC) and the incredible older adults of Douglas County!
Seniorita is paddling strong into 2026, championing a mission close to her heart, supporting, and connecting our community while helping seniors continue “Loving Life in the Second Half.” Whether she’s helping deliver Meals on Wheels to homebound neighbors or ensuring riders get safely to medical appointments (with a little shopping along the way), she’s always on the move and making an impact.
This year, Seniorita is racing with heart, purpose, and a splash of fun, raising awareness and support for programs that help older adults thrive right here in our community. Because when Seniorita races, she’s not just in it to win… she’s in it to make waves.
Meet Quacks McParktrails, a spirited ducky derby racer sponsored by the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation. Quacks McParktrails is not just any racer; this duck is a symbol of community spirit and dedication to enhancing the local parks and trails that make Castle Rock a vibrant place to live.
The Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation spearheads initiatives like the Fit Ground at Philip S. Miller Park, the incredible Legacy Trail and Possibilities Playground, enriching the community’s outdoor experiences.
Proceeds from the Ducky Derby race go towards various projects, each aimed at benefiting the community, such as the Possibilities Playground, built in Castle Rock in 2022.

He’s got moves like a dance floor legend and the heart of a hometown hero—rallying dads, families, and businesses to come together, support one another, and make Castle Rock stronger one flap at a time.
From community clean-ups to fundraising for families in need, Daddy Duck isn’t just here for the race—he’s here to lead with integrity, lift others up, and prove that dad power is a force to be reckoned with.

Gridiron Gus is charging onto the scene for the Castle View Football, where football isn’t just a game—it’s a way to build champions on and off the field!
Gus trains hard with Castle View student-athletes, perfecting his speed and strategy while embodying teamwork, discipline, and heart. When he’s not preparing for the big race, you’ll find him rallying the community at tailgates, team meals, and cheering on his fellow Sabercats under the Friday night lights.
More than just a competitor, Gus is a mentor in the making—proving that with dedication, support, and a strong team behind you, anything is possible. Whether on the field or in the creek, Gridiron Gus is racing for a future where every athlete has the opportunity to succeed!
